Om Malati Tapovan Maisal -
Miraj

‘Om Malati Tapovan’ is dedicated to creating a
Universal spiritual home where there is no discrimination of caste,
creed, race, or religion. As the scriptures say - “Udaar Charitaanaam, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’
(this entire Earth is one family).
Sadguru Om Malati Mataji returned to Miraj from Delhi
in the year 1975. She traveled extensively in Maharashtra
state and spent most of her time in propagating the
knowledge and experiences she had earned from Swami Sivananda's
teachings during her yogic sadhana.
The
ever-increasing numbers of spiritual seekers at her home made it impossible to
address everyone's needs and hence, in the year 1991, her spiritual children sought her
permission to build an ashram, the place she called Tapovan (a place
of austerities).
Today,
when every home is afflicted with stress, pain and sorrow, the need for
meaningful existence has become more relevant. Only this can ensure that
we become peaceful from the core, thus making every human being a
source for propagation of peace, all around.
Since
1991, the institution is working towards creating an environment based
on the principles of selfless love and sacrifice, which are the fundamentals
of a meaningful life.
